Updates

Please find below an official update on Norton Auditorium and how this will affect our upcoming concerts.

Dear Patron Friends,

We are excited to announce that the University of North Alabama has committed to a $1.8 million renovation of Norton Auditorium. Phase One has begun and is expected to be completed this spring. During this time, the venue will be closed to the public, which will require us to relocate our February 2nd event. As part of the renovations, new seating is being installed. We appreciate your flexibility throughout this process and want you to be aware of how this will affect you:

The Preludes and Polovtsian Dances performance on February 2nd has been relocated to Muscle Shoals High School Auditorium. If you have already purchased tickets for this event, we are in the process of mailing you your new tickets. If you want to purchase tickets for this event, website sales will resume in 24 hours, on January 11.

In addition to new seating, other welcome changes are coming with the renovation, including aisle lighting, new carpeting, and ceiling and wall repairs/paint. The updated seating in the hall will change the seat numbers for our Midsummer Night’s Dream and Raiders of the Lost Ark in Concert performances. If you have already purchased tickets to either of these events, we are in the process of mailing you your new tickets. If you want to purchase tickets for these events, website sales will resume in 24 hours, on January 11.

We look forward to beginning a new chapter for the orchestra in a freshly renovated hall!

Sincerely,

Richard Smith
